TLC Healthcare in Melbourne's suburb of Mordialloc is seeking a Registered Nurse In Charge for a part-time parental leave cover. The role involves clinical leadership, care coordination and resident-centred nursing during fixed night shifts Fri-Mon 22:00–07:30.

Seeking a Registered Nurse In Charge in Mordialloc to support a range of clinical services to our Aged Care residents.

• Location: Mordialloc

• Roster: Friday to Monday, 22:00 - 07:30 (applicants must be able to work these shifts)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse In Charge to join our residential aged care team and provide exceptional clinical leadership and person-centred care to our residents.

This part-time parental leave cover position is ideal for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse who is passionate about aged care and thrives in a leadership position supporting both residents and staff.

This role works fixed night shifts from Friday to Monday, 22:00 - 07:30, and applicants must be available to work these shifts.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse In Charge, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day clinical management of our residential home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care while providing leadership, guidance and support to care teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing care
• Providing clinical leadership, mentoring and support to nursing and care staff
• Coordinating assessments, care planning and documentation
• Building positive relationships with residents, families, GPs and allied health professionals
• Monitoring and supporting clinical outcomes and continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Managing incidents, complaints and after-hours operational issues when required
• Ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, AN-ACC requirements and organisational policies
• Promoting a positive, inclusive and collaborative team culture

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated experience working within residential aged care
• Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
• Sound understanding of AN-ACC, infection prevention and control, and aged care legislation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to lead, mentor and supervise multidisciplinary care teams
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Computer literacy and experience with clinical documentation systems
• Commitment to resident-centred care and continuous improvement
