Job summary

Mater Private Hospital Mackay is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the High Dependency Unit on a permanent part-time basis (20 hours per week). You will care for patients in a 5-bed HDU, delivering high-quality, patient-centred nursing and working with a diverse team.

We encourage ongoing learning and professional development, with opportunities to advance clinical knowledge and education through Mater Education. A 24/7 rotating roster is required.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with no restrictions.
• Experience in working in an Acute Care setting.
• Basic ECG and Cardiac arrhythmia interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centred nursing care in a 5-bed High Dependency Unit.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients throughout their episode of care.

Mater Private Hospital Mackay has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the High Dependency Unit. This is a permanent part-time role, working 20 hours per week.

About you

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with no restrictions
• Experience in working in an Acute Care setting
• Basic ECG and Cardiac arrhythmia interpretation skills
• Partner with patients and their support persons throughout the episode of care to provide patient-centred care with regard to personal and/or cultural needs and preferences.
• Currency of life support skills applicable to patient-centred care environment/specialty; i.e. basic, advanced and/or paediatric.
• A willingness to learn and grow within a clinically strong team.

Please note you must be willing to participate in a 24/7 rotating roster
