Job summary

St Vincent's Hospital Sydney is seeking a Registered Nurse for a permanent full-time role in its state-of-the-art Trauma Centre in the CBD. The ward handles a diverse and complex patient cohort with a fast-paced acute care environment.

You will deliver high-quality nursing care, utilise advanced clinical technologies, and collaborate with a senior leadership team to support exceptional patient outcomes. Ongoing mentorship and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
• Experience in an acute hospital setting; emergency nursing desirable.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team with effective communication.
• Demonstrated integration of theory and clinical skills, with critical thinking.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise in a complex environment.

About the role

Work in a state-of-the-art Trauma Centre located in Sydney's CBD, caring for a diverse and complex patient cohort.

Deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced acute care environment with over 55,000 patient presentations each year.

Utilise advanced nursing practices and clinical technologies to support exceptional patient outcomes.

Collaborate with a highly experienced leadership team, including Nurse Managers, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Clinical Nurse Educators.

Develop your clinical skills and career through ongoing support, mentorship and professional development opportunities.

About you

• Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
• Experience working in an acute hospital setting, with prior emergency nursing desirable
• Ability to work within the interdisciplinary team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse
• Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.
