Job summary

Cornerstone Medical Recruitment is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses for ongoing contracts across regional Australia from now through December 2026. Breaks between 6-12 weeks with opportunities to extend or move between locations.

Roles include trauma, paediatrics, mental health, and remote care in busy rural EDs. Applicants require current AHPRA registration (or eligibility), ED experience, ALS, triage, cannulation, ECG interpretation, and strong deterioration

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration or eligibility to obtain.
• Recent Emergency Department experience.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
• Triage competency and cannulation/IV skills.
• ECG interpretation and deterioration management abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in busy ED settings across various sites.
• Assess, triage and manage acutely ill patients with deteriorating conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and rotate between locations.

Cornerstone Medical Recruitment is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses for ongoing contract opportunities across regional and rural Australia from now through until December 2026.

We have multiple vacancies available across New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania, with contracts ranging from 6-12 weeks and opportunities to extend or move between locations.

Featured Contract - Broken Hill Hospital, NSW

Broken Hill Hospital is a rural teaching hospital located in the heart of Outback NSW, providing vital healthcare services to a geographically isolated community.

The Emergency Department is a busy 10-bed unit managing a broad range of presentations including:

• Medical emergencies
• Trauma
• Paediatrics
• Mental health presentations
• Remote and rural healthcare presentations

This role is suited to experienced ED nurses who are confident working autonomously, possess strong clinical assessment skills, and thrive in fast-paced environments.

Essential Requirements

• Current AHPRA Registration (or eligibility to obtain)

• Advanced Life Support (ALS)

• Cannulation and IV therapy skills
• ECG interpretation
• Strong assessment and deterioration management skills

Pay & Weekly Top Ups

Up to $2,416.56/week + Casual Loading + 12% Super + Penalties

Weekly Top Up Incentives

• RN 1.8+ - $150 per week
• RN 5-7 - $120 per week
• RN 2-5 - $100 per week
• EN 1-5+ - $90 per week
