Job summary

Calvary's Melbourne Emergency Department is seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse to join a smaller, collaborative team in a 12-bed ED. This role focuses on high-quality emergency care in a supportive setting, with opportunities for professional development and flexible hours.

Ideal candidates have AHPRA registration and at least 5 years in ED nursing, with postgraduate qualifications in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Minimum 5 years' Emergency Department nursing experience (desirable).
• Postgraduate qualification in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing (desirable).

The Role

This opportunity is ideal for experienced Emergency Nurses looking to step away from the pressures of a large tertiary department while continuing to utilise and develop their emergency nursing skills within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Our 12-bed Emergency Department includes a dedicated resuscitation bay and provides high-quality emergency care in a supportive, patient-focused environment. As a smaller private ED, we do not admit psychiatric, major trauma, stroke or obstetric presentations, allowing our team to focus on delivering exceptional care across a broad range of acute medical and surgical presentations.
