Norwest Private Hospital, part of Healthscope Hospitals, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse – Anaesthetics to join our high-acuity perioperative team in Sydney's North West. You will deliver safe, evidence-based anaesthetic nursing care and collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and the wider healthcare team.

We require a minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience in anaesthetics, Australian work authority, and a postgraduate qualification in anaesthetics (or working towards).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ post-registration experience in Anaesthetics.
• Authority to work in Australia.
• Available to work Monday–Friday (flexible start/finish times).
• Working With Children Check.
• Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards.
• Postgraduate qualification in Anaesthetics (or working towards).
• Sound computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse – Anaesthetics, you will deliver safe, evidence‑based perioperative care while working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the wider healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, research-based anaesthetic nursing care
• Provide complex, multidisciplinary patient care
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Act as a role model for safe clinical practice
• Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs)
• Educate and support patients through recovery, rehabilitation, or end‑of‑life care
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement and clinical excellence

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years’ post-registration experience in Anaesthetics
• Authority to work in Australia
• Availability to work Monday–Friday (with flexible start and finish times)
• Working With Children Check
• Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Sound computer literacy
• Postgraduate qualification in Anaesthetics (or working towards)

I If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2024, a salary ranging from $40.26-$56.54per hour.
