Brisbane Private Hospital, part of Healthscope Hospitals, is seeking experienced Anaesthetics Registered Nurses to join our team on a full time, part time or casual basis at Brisbane Private Hospital. You will provide high-quality peri-operative care with a focus on patient safety and teamwork.

Role requires current AHPRA registration and at least 2 years of post-graduate anaesthetics experience. Expect varied shifts 6:30am–9pm, with on-call and weekend opportunities as needed.

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with Anaesthetics experience looking for a rewarding role in Private Healthcare?

About the role

Brisbane Private Hospital is currently seeking experienced Anaesthetics Registered Nurses to join our team on a full time, part time or casual basis. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Shift times for this role vary between 630am-9pm across Monday to Friday with the occasional on call and weekend shift.

Set at the top of Wickham Terrace, Brisbane’s busiest medical precinct, above the Roma Street Parklands in the heart of the CBD, Brisbane Private Hospital is an acute and rehabilitation hospital with 181 beds, 17 operating theatres and dedicated surgical, ICU and rehabilitation wards. Brisbane Private Hospital specialises in Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal, ENT, Pain and Rehabilitation with additional specialties including Plastics, Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Brisbane Private Hospital also delivers a leading private drug and alcohol program, Damascus Health Services, from its dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit.

Your duties will include

• Delivering excellent service and care to patients

• Sound knowledge of theatre equipment and safe use practices
• Possess organisational skills and complete documentation to a high standard
• Will adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures, contribute to the efficient, effective and economic running of the peri operative service.
• Bachelor of Science (nursing) or equivalent
• Current Registration with AHPRA
• Minimum 2 years Post Graduate experience in Anaesthetics
• Commitment to Quality Patient Care
• Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Works well independently and within a team
• Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards

Remuneration:

If you are successful for this role, you will receive a salary based on the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope -Queensland- Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 -2025 (salaries range between $44.20 - $56.20/hr for Registered Nurses)

Requirements

Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable) and Evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment. Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
