The Skin Hospital in Darlinghurst, Sydney, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. You will lead safe patient care, prepare clinics, and participate in ongoing development activities within a supportive not-for-profit environment.

Responsabilités

• Act as the Registered Nurse in charge, providing clinical leadership and support to care workers and other team members.
• Assess residents’ health and clinical needs and respond appropriately to deterioration, incidents and medical emergencies.
• Provide and oversee complex nursing care, including wound care, medication management and pain management.
• Develop, review and implement individualized care plans with residents, families and the broader healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to prescribed instructions.
• Monitor residents’ health status and document observations; escalate concerns when needed.
• Coordinate with GPs, allied health professionals, hospitals and families to support continuity of care.
• Provide clinical direction to care workers and assist with changes in residents’ condition.
• Respond calmly to emergencies and make appropriate clinical decisions within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Support residents and families to understand care options and changes in health needs.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, dignity, respect and continuous improvement.

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Darlinghurst team. This role is key to the delivery of high quality and safe patient care and to ensure the effective provision of patient care at The Skin Hospital.

About you

Key responsibilities as a Registered Nurse in charge

• Support residents and families to understand care options, treatments and changes in health needs.
• Contribute to a positive culture of safety, dignity, respect and continuous improvement.

Location

Our Darlinghurst facility is conveniently located close to public transport in the heart of Sydney. Operating hours are between 7:00am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
