The North West Cancer Centre, Burnie, provides comprehensive specialist outpatient Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Clinical Haematology Services to the North West Tasmanian Community. The NWCC is affiliated with the Northern Cancer Service with it situated in the North West Regional Hospital complex and provides direct access to a range of medical, surgical and hospital services required to deliver quality, person-centred cancer care.
We are seeking a motivated nurse, preferably with 3 years of clinical experience to provide specialised nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, cancer treatment and non oncology treatment. This role involves comprehensive patient assessment, administration of chemotherapy and other oncologic therapies, symptom management, patient education, and emotional support. Working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care throughout the cancer treatment journey.
The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. Additionally, it provides community health, mental health, and primary healthcare services to the Tasmanian community through more than 300 sites.

1 x Permanent part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, with as soon as possible start.

$80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata) . Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
