Job summary

SouthDerm is a leader in dermatology services with day surgery and clinics in Kogarah. We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse for a part-time role across our clinics and day surgery to assist our dermatologists with high quality patient care.

The position involves surgical and non-surgical skin procedures, nurse led clinics and participation in NSQHS accreditation. Immunisation requirements apply, with vaccination evidence required for interview consideration.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA is required.
• Minimum 2-3 years general nursing experience.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with all stakeholders.
• Commitment to quality, best practice and environmental safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist dermatologists with safe high quality care across theatres, consult rooms and clinics.
• Support surgical and non-surgical skin procedures including laser treatments.
• Provide patient care and education pre/post procedures.
• Nurse led clinics and participation in NSQHS accreditation processes.
• Prior dermatology or day procedure experience is advantageous but not essential.

SouthDerm is a leader in the provision of dermatological health services, including a day surgery, specialist dermatology clinics, cosmetic dermatology and Mohs surgery located in Kogarah.

If you are looking for a new career direction in nursing then this is a fantastic opportunity that exists for a Registered Nurse to work on part-time basis working our various clinics and day surgery. In this exciting position at SouthDerm, you will be responsible for providing high quality patient care and outstanding support to our doctors.

There is the opportunity to be involved with and attend the Australian Dermatology Nurses Association (ADNA), which is closely aligned with the College of Dermatology.

About the Role

Part-time role 3 days a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

• The primary objective of the role is to assist our dermatologists with providing safe high quality care across all area of the organisation including operating theatres, consulting rooms and clinics.
• Assist with surgical and non surgical skin procedures including laser treatments
• Patient care and education of pre and post surgical and non-surgical treatments
• Nurse led clinics
• Participate in the accreditation process following the NSQHS standards for Day Hospitals
• Previous dermatology, surgical, or day procedure centre experience would be advantageous but not essential.

To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
