Uniting NSW & ACT is seeking a Registered Nurse at Nambucca Heads to deliver person-centred care to residents, drawing on clinical expertise and compassionate approaches tailored to individual needs.

The role is a permanent full-time position, 38 hours per week on a rotating roster including mornings, afternoons and nights, weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
• Empathy, resilience and a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older residents.
• Previous aged or community care experience is desirable; other nurses are encouraged to apply.

Uniting Pacifica Nambucca Heads is set across four storeys, each with resident bedrooms and communal spaces, including lounges, dining rooms, and kitchenettes. On the ground floor, there’s a secure Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Our Leisure and Wellness Team ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

Role Overview:

As a Registered Nurse at Uniting Nambucca Heads, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional person -centred care to our residents. Your clinical expertise and compassionate approach will ensure that each resident received the highest standard of care tailored to their individual needs.

This position is a permanent full-time opportunity, working 38 hours per week on a rotating roster - weekdays/weekends including, morning, afternoon & night Shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be a clinical leader in the service, and you will develop, deliver, and evaluate resident care plans to meet the individual needs of our residents
• You’ll need sharp clinical assessment skills and will take the lead in providing clinical services
• Get to know each resident and become a fundamental part of their life
• Play an important role in making sure the care provided meets residents’ individual goals
• You’ll liaise with medical and allied health professionals and residents’ family members to advocate for clients’ quality of life
• Supervise and support our Personal Care Workers
• Practice in a holistic way, using your critical decision-making skills to lead the team

Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree with current registration (AHPRA)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities

• Previous aged or community care experience is highly desirable; however, nurses from other healthcare settings are encouraged to apply
