Job summary

Respect Maleny Erowal is seeking a casual Registered Nurse to join our clinical team in Maleny, Queensland. You will provide safe, resident-centred nursing care within AHPRA guidelines, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and support wellbeing and independence of residents.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Compile a comprehensive history from residents and/or family to identify care needs during admissions and ongoing assessments.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation reflecting care delivery.
• Develop and evaluate resident care plans and assist with admission assessments.
• Provide direct clinical care including personal hygiene, pain management, and GP rounds participation.
• Administer medications and ensure compliant ordering, storage and documentation.

Seeking a Casual Registered Nurse to join our clinical team at Respect Maleny Erowal

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, competent, and contemporary clinical nursing care to residents within the scope of practice as determined by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Reporting directly to the Care Manager and General Manager, the Registered Nurse plays an integral role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the wellbeing, dignity, and independence of residents.

Key Duties

• Compile a comprehensive history from residents and/or family members to identify care needs through resident admissions and ongoing assessments.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation that reflects care delivery.
• Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate resident care plans, and assist with admission assessments.
• Provide direct clinical care to residents as required, including (but not limited to) personal hygiene, pain management, massage therapy, and participating in GP rounds.
• Administer medications and ensure correct ordering, storage, and documentation procedures are followed in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional resident outcomes.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents, families, and colleagues.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Knowledge of the Residential Classification Scale and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Current National NDIS worker screen (or the ability to obtain one).
