Job summary

South Coast Radiology on the Gold Coast is seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse to join our team at Pindara Hospital for a 12 month maternity cover contract till 2027. You will support diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures and provide patient care under the supervision of the Nurse in Charge.

Ideal candidates hold current AHPRA registration, have IV cannulation skills, and can respond effectively in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA Registration.
• IV Cannulation experience preferred.
• Advanced Life Support preferred but not essential.
• Able to respond effectively in emergencies.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Team player with ability to work independently.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Previous surgical or radiology experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest standard of care to patients, technical staff, and Radiologists.
• Support diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures.
• Participate in an on-call roster.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We currently have an opportunity for a Part Time Registered Nurse (12 Month Maternity Leave contract till 2027) to join our team based at Pindara Hospital on the Gold Coast.

Reporting to the Nurse in Charge, you will provide the highest standard of service to our patients and Radiologists, supporting diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures.

KEY DUTIES

• Provide a high standard of care to patients, technical staff, and Radiologists
• Ensure Workplace Health and Safety practices are always observed
• Admission, monitoring, and recovery of patients undergoing interventional procedures such as biopsies, vascular access devices, pain management, stents, and drainages
• PICC line insertion (training provided)
• Apply sound knowledge for post-procedure care, recovery, and discharge
• Participate in an on-call roster

ABOUT YOU

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration
• IV Cannulation experience preferred
• Advanced Life Support (preferred but not essential)
