Job summary

Integral Diagnostics (IDX) on the Gold Coast is seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse for a 12‑month maternity cover role. You will support diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, ensuring high patient care standards and safety. You will report to the Nurse in Charge and work with radiologists and technical staff.

The role requires current AHPRA registration, IV cannulation ability, and strong communication. A supportive team and opportunities for professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration to practise as a nurse.
• Experience in radiology or surgical settings preferred.
• IV cannulation experience preferred.
• Ability to respond effectively in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard of patient care to support Radiologists.
• Monitor and recover patients during interventional procedures.
• Admit, monitor, and recover patients undergoing procedures such as biopsies and vascular access work.
• Assist with PICC line insertions (training provided).
• Ensure post‑procedure care, discharge planning and safety compliance.
• Participate in an on‑call roster.

About The Role

We currently have an opportunity for a Part Time Registered Nurse (12 Month Maternity Leave contract till 2027) to join our team based on the Gold Coast.

Reporting to the Nurse in Charge, you will provide the highest standard of service to our patients and Radiologists, supporting diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures.

Key Duties

• Provide a high standard of care to patients, technical staff, and Radiologists


• Ensure Workplace Health and Safety practices are always observed


• Admission, monitoring, and recovery of patients undergoing interventional procedures such as biopsies, vascular access devices, pain management, stents, and drainages


• PICC line insertion (training provided)


• Apply sound knowledge for post-procedure care, recovery, and discharge


• Participate in an on-call roster

About You

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration


• IV Cannulation Experience Preferred


• Advanced Life Support (preferred but not essential)


• Able to respond effectively in emergencies


• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written


• Team player with ability to work independently


• Excellent personal presentation


• Previous surgical or radiology experience (beneficial)
