Job summary

Bayside Health in Melbourne's network is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for Sandringham Hospital to deliver high-quality patient care across service lines. The RN will build trusted relationships, guiding the care plan with patient and carers, while adhering to core nursing values of patient-centred care, respect and accountability.

The role requires RN registration with AHPRA, current police and Working with Children checks, and offers salary packaging and onsite parking.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centred care and establish a strong therapeutic relationship with patients and families.

The Department

Operations: Home Acute and Community Program, Acute and Integrated Care Stream

The Role

As a clinical nurse, your practice will lead to excellence in patient care. You understand the importance of establishing a relationship between the patient and yourself in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for your patients. You demonstrate the core nursing values of patient centred care, trust and respect in every interaction with patients, carers and colleagues. You are accountable for establishing and evaluating the patient’s plan of care in partnership with the patient, their carers and other members of the health care team.

Essential

• Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
• Current and satisfactory Police Check
• Current and satisfactory Working with Children Check

Desirable

• Experience in General Medicine Nursing
• Cannulation credentialled
• Competent in venepuncture
• Competent in female catheterisation
• Skills in using surefuser and syringe driver
• Post graduate qualifications in the care of older persons
