Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of RN experience in aged care or similar setting.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage clinical responsibilities effectively.
  • Flexibility to work across a range of shifts as part of our nursing pool.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents.
  • Coordinate and manage residents’ clinical care needs and Care Plans.
  • Administer medications and perform clinical tasks (e.g. wound care).
  • Monitor residents’ changing health conditions and adjust care accordingly.

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our nursing pool on a permanent part-time basis (40 hours per fortnight) Relief at our McNamara Lodge in Meadow Springs. This is a relief role that offers variety and flexibility, supporting coverage across various shifts (morning, afternoon, evening, weekends) based on operational needs.

This role as the Registered Nurse will see you:

As a Registered Nurse, you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents at McNamara Lodge. You will work closely with our Clinical and Facility Managers to ensure residents receive exceptional clinical care aligned with their individual needs.

  • Coordinate and manage residents’ clinical care needs and Care Plans
  • Administer medications and perform clinical tasks (e.g. wound care, assessments, referrals)
  • Monitor residents’ changing health conditions and adjust care accordingly
  • Lead and support care staff and Enrolled Nurses during your shifts
  • Act as the senior clinician in charge during absence of Clinical or Facility Manager

Located in the heart of RAAFA’s vibrant retirement estate in Meadow Springs, Mandurah, McNamara Lodge is a beautifully refurbished 96-bed residential aged care facility. With modern, welcoming spaces, lush atriums, and landscaped gardens, it offers a peaceful and supportive environment for both residents and staff. The lodge provides both permanent and respite care, supported by engaging daily activities designed to promote wellness and social connection.

About you:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • At least 6 months of RN experience in aged care or similar setting
  • A genuine passion for supporting older people with empathy and respect
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage clinical responsibilities effectively
  • Flexibility to work across a range of shifts as part of our nursing pool
