Job summary

myCheck Health Medical and Skin Clinic – Woy Woy NSW is seeking a Practice Nurse to join our GP-led team, delivering high-quality nursing and support services.

The role offers full-time, permanent, part-time or casual arrangements with Nurses Award rates based on experience. You will triage patients, manage chronic diseases, perform ECG/Spirometry and immunisations, and support GP staff in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Must possess APHRA registration.
• Immunisations certificate or willingness to complete training.
• Current CPR certificate.
• WWC (Working with children) clearance.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a registered nurse or enrolled nurse.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate comprehensive nursing knowledge in a GP setting.
• Triage patients and manage bookings/functions in a busy clinic.
• Conduct chronic disease management plans and health assessments.
• Stock control and ordering to maintain clinic supplies.
• Cold chain management and infection control.
• ECG and Spirometry testing.
• Immunisations including childhood vaccines and admin of vaccines.
• Assistance with minor procedures and wound care.
• Maintenance of equipment and sterilisation procedures.
• Provide patient education and support to families.

We are delighted to be looking for a Practice Nurse to join us at myCheck Health Medical & Skin clinic to provide high quality nursing and support service to our patients. We are a GP practice located in Woy Woy NSW operating 5 days a week. Our clinical team currently consists of 8 full-time general practitioners and a registered nurse.

Position: Full-time, Permanent Part-Time or Casual

Rate: Paid per the Nurses Award dependent on level of experience.

Experience: Experience in GP is preferable, but on job training will be provided for the right candidate.

Must have a current unconditional registration with APHRA

Current immunisations certificate (or willing to complete training)

Current CPR certificate

Current working with children’s check (WWC)

Minimum 1 years’ experience as a registered nurse, enrolled nurse.

Demonstrate outstanding work ethic, organizational and time management skills.

Deliver services in a confidential, caring and supportive manner.

Have experience in a fast-paced multiple practitioner environment.

The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
