Experienced Registered NDIS Behaviour Practitioner

Location: Cairns and/or the Tablelands

Sky Therapy Solutions is a client-centred allied health practice and NDIS registered provider, dedicated to providing high-quality therapeutic services. We specialise in positive behaviour support, mental health interventions, early childhood therapies, and family services. With locations in Cairns and Malanda, we are expanding our dedicated team to meet growing demand.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our supportive and passionate team. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a genuine impact in the lives of individuals living with disability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver positive behaviour support services consistent with NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission guidelines
  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop behaviour support plans (including interim and comprehensive plans)
  • Provide training, support and guidance to participants, families, and support staff
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Maintain high standards of documentation, reporting, and compliance
  • Participate in supervision, professional development, and reflective practice
  • Willingness to travel to regional locations to support participants

About You:

  • Current registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (NDIS Commission)
  • Experience developing interim and comprehensive behaviour support plans
  • Strong understanding of restrictive practices, reporting requirements, and NDIS Practice Standards
  • Qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Allied Health, or a similar relevant discipline
  • Exceptional communication, engagement, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage caseloads, and maintain flexible working hours
  • Current Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

  • Experience working in rural/regional settings
  • Experience supporting clients across the lifespan, including children and adults
  • Trauma-informed practice training
