Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District Bowral & District Hospital is seeking a Registered Midwife for permanent full-time, part-time or casual roles. The role spans antenatal to postnatal care in a maternity service that supports skill development and flexible 12‑hour shifts.

You will work across the birthing unit and related wards, contributing to positive birth experiences for families in the Southern Highlands. AHPRA registration is required.

Qualifications

• Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
• Describes recent experience across maternity continuum (antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal) and application of patient‑centred care principles

Responsibilities

• Full scope midwifery practice across antenatal clinic, antenatal ward, birthing unit, postnatal ward and continuity of care programs
• Access to advanced training in perineal suturing, Cook’s catheter insertion and ultrasound confirmation of fetal presentation
• Collaborative regional team delivering high‑quality, woman‑centred care
• Contribute to positive birth experiences and outcomes for women and families
• 12 hour shift model to enhance continuity of care, teamwork and flexibility
