Job summary

Healthscope's Prince of Wales Private Hospital in Randwick, Sydney, is seeking Registered Midwives to join a dedicated maternity team delivering evidenced-based care in birth suites, post-natal wards and the Special Care Nursery on a rotational basis.

Qualifications

• Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA is required.
• Experience in a maternity setting and ability to work in Birth Suite, Post-natal and Special Care Nursery.
• Proven experience in a similar role and good communication with families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based midwifery care and provide exceptional patient experience to women and families.
• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to coordinate care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering evidence-based midwifery care and provide exceptional patient experience to woman and their families
• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
• Ensure patient and staff safety
• Supervise, direct and guide midwifery/nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
• Deliver education and support to mothers and their families
• Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA
• Current NSW Working with Children Check
• Proven Experience in a similar role
• Special Care Nursery experience advantageous
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
• Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Works well independently and within a team
• Compliance with NSW Health Policy PD2020_017 Occupational Screening, Assessment & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement, a salary ranging from $40.26 – $56.54 per hour
