Job summary

Prince of Wales Private Hospital in Randwick, NSW is seeking Registered Midwives for full-time and part-time roles across the birth suite, post-natal ward, and Special Care Nursery on a rotational basis. You will work with a dedicated team of midwives, obstetricians and neonatologists to deliver world-class maternity care with strong emphasis on education and patient experience.

You will be supported by a maternity educator and have access to ongoing professional development, flexible work

Qualifications

• Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.
• Proven experience in a similar midwifery role; Special Care Nursery experience advantageous.
• Compliance with NSW Health Policy and ACQSHC standards.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Delivering evidence-based midwifery care and provide exceptional patient experience to woman and their families.
• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Ensure patient and staff safety.
• Supervise, direct and guide midwifery/nursing team members; ENs and AINs to deliver patient care.
• Deliver education and support to mothers and their families.

Opportunity to work in a dynamic birthing unit and post-Natal ward with a dedicated team of midwives, obstetricians and neonatologists. Work to Suit you! We are looking for Full-time and Part-time Registered Midwives to join our team. With an amazing team of highly trained neonatal nurses and midwives and providing word class maternity care, Prince of Wales Private is the next step in your career! If your passion is working in birth suite we have roles that can support your passion, development and work life balance! You will also work across the post-natal and Special Care Nursery on a rotational basis as required. We have a dedicated maternity educator that will support your upskilling and will bring you a great introduction to the unit.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering evidence-based midwifery care and provide exceptional patient experience to woman and their families.

• Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA

• Proven Experience in a similar role
• Special Care Nursery experience advantageous
• Compliance with ACQSHC
• National standards

• PD2020_017 Occupational Screening, Assessment & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement, a salary ranging from $40.26 - $56.54 per hour

Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable) and Evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment. Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
