Job summary

Healthscope's Prince of Wales Private Hospital in Randwick, NSW, invites registered midwives to join a supportive team in a high‑quality maternity setting. Roles are available full-time and part-time with a dedicated educator and rotation across the birthing unit and Special Care Nursery to support your development.

You will work within a dynamic, private hospital environment, delivering evidence‑based care and collaborating with obstetricians, neonatologists and nursing staff to optimise

Qualifications

• Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.
• Proven experience in a similar midwifery role.
• Special Care Nursery experience is advantageous.
• Compliance with NSW Health guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based midwifery care and provide exceptional patient experience.
• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Ensure patient and staff safety.
• Supervise and guide midwifery/nursing staff to deliver care.
• Deliver education and support to mothers and families.
• Deliver respectful, family-centred care within the unit.
• Maintain compliance with relevant health policies and standards.

Opportunity to work in a dynamic birthing unit and post-Natal ward with a dedicated team of midwives, obstetricians and neonatologists.

Work to Suit you! We are looking for Full-time and Part-time Registered Midwives to join our team.

With an amazing team of highly trained neonatal nurses and midwives and providing word class maternity care, Prince of Wales Private is the next step in your career!

If your passion is working in post-natal we have roles that can support your passion, development and work life balance! You will also work across the birhing unit and Special Care Nursery on a rotational basis as required.

We have a dedicated maternity educator that will support your upskilling and will bring you a great introduction to the unit.

Your responsibilities

• Delivering evidence-based midwifery care and provide exceptional patient experience to woman and their families
• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
• Ensure patient and staff safety
• Supervise, direct and guide midwifery/nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
• Deliver education and support to mothers and their families
• Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA
• Current NSW Working with Children Check
• Proven Experience in a similar role
• Special Care Nursery experience advantageous
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
• Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Works well independently and within a team
• Compliance with NSW Health Policy PD2020_017 Occupational Screening, Assessment & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement, a salary ranging from $40.26 – $56.54 per hour
