Healthcare Australia invites experienced Mental Health Registered Nurses (RN) and Mental Health Enrolled Nurses (EN) to join our agency for ongoing shifts across Adelaide’s public and private mental health services. The role spans acute, inpatient and community settings, with flexible day, afternoon and night rosters.

You will provide recovery-focused, person-centred care, perform risk assessments, administer medications and contribute to care planning within multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an RN or EN.
• Recent Acute Mental Health or Psychiatric Nursing experience.
• Strong risk assessment, crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
• Excellent communication and therapeutic engagement abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• A compassionate, recovery-focused approach to care.
• Flexibility to work across a variety of mental health settings.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality nursing care within acute and inpatient mental health settings.
• Completing comprehensive mental health and risk assessments.
• Supporting consumers experiencing mental health crises and complex presentations.
• Developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans.
• Utilising therapeutic communication and de-escalation strategies.
• Administering medications and monitoring treatment outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and reporting.
• Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive consumer outcomes.

About the Role

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will provide safe, recovery-focused and person-centred care to consumers experiencing a wide range of mental health presentations.

Your responsibilities may include:
