Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking Senior Practitioners to drive practice improvement in Youth Justice across the region, supporting staff with expert guidance, mentoring, and performance-driven initiatives.

You will lead culturally inclusive service delivery, align operations with policy and practice standards, and collaborate with regional leadership to advance outcomes for youth and communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth justice practice and service delivery.
• Ability to lead and mentor staff to improve practice.
• Ability to analyze operational performance data to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate cultural capability and promote inclusive culture aligned with Human Rights Act 2019.
• Provide expert guidance on accountable and integrated Youth Justice services within policy and practice standards.
• Provide leadership advice and support to staff through mentoring and coaching to improve practice quality.
• Advise on delivery of evidence-based Youth Justice services including court and case management processes.
• Support continuous improvement through analysis of performance data and quality assurance processes.
• Coordinate with central office and partner agencies to embed outcomes of practice support and development.
• Build capability in regional leadership and frontline staff for service delivery excellence.
• Participate in regional leadership meetings and negotiations on complex cases with partners.
