Job summary

uWorkin in Townsville region is seeking a Regional Superintendent to oversee regional operations, lead strategic planning, budget governance, and coordinate staff and volunteers across districts. You will drive performance, manage resources, and engage with stakeholders to deliver disaster management outcomes.

The role requires proven leadership in a volunteer environment, strong governance, and willingness to travel within the region.

Qualifications

Must meet the mandatory requirements as outlined in the generic RFSQ Superintendent role description.
Knowledge of or experience in resource management appropriate to volunteers for the prevention, preparedness, response and recovery phases in community support.
Experience in or knowledge of managing a volunteer environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of Regional strategic, operational, and capability plans to guide operations and ensure effective allocation of resources.
Coordinate and manage activities to achieve plans and performance, including regional risk and budget.
Collaborate with the Deputy Chief Officer to plan, implement, administer, report and evaluate regional programs for service excellence.
During operations, implement financial governance and manage the regional budget for funding claims data.
Oversee staff capability development via the PADP process for efficient operations.
Oversee bushfire investigation and compliance activities to reduce uncontrolled burns and impact.
