Job summary

Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) in Cootamundra is seeking a Facility Manager/Nurse Manager Grade 3 to lead nursing and clinical and non-clinical support services. The role focuses on safe, compassionate and person-centred care, delivered through coordinated planning and multidisciplinary collaboration.

This permanent full-time position offers a competitive salary of AU$158,236.73–AU$161,174.38 pro rata, plus superannuation and 17.5% leave loading where applicable.

Qualifications

• Hold current authority to practise as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Demonstrate senior leadership and operational management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clinicians, managers and stakeholders.
• High-level computer literacy with health-related systems and analytics.
• Evidence of financial and activity/service delivery management, identifying efficiencies.
• Strong leadership to motivate and manage teams and drive change.
• Knowledge of accreditation, clinical governance, and quality/safety improvement.
• Experience managing a complex clinical service with competing demands.
• Hold a current Class C Driver Licence and willingness to travel across MLHD.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational management of nursing and other services at facility level.
• Ensure delivery of safe, compassionate, person-centred care.
• Lead assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Support accreditation and governance activities to meet organisational targets.
