Job summary

ME Medical Recruitment is seeking a Staff Specialist Haematologist for a Country Victorian Hospital in regional Victoria. This joint appointment with Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre provides regional haematology care and a split-week arrangement.

The position involves clinical oversight of inpatients and outpatient clinics, involvement in trials, and a leadership role in subregional service development, with mentorship for junior staff.

Qualifications

• FRACP in internal medicine and haematology is required.
• Substantial experience in managing a wide range of haematological conditions.
• Experience in conducting clinical research and education of trainees.

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality integrated assessment and care of patients with haematologic conditions.
• Participates in ward service roster including on-call/recall.
• Participation in clinical trials and outpatient clinics.
• Mentors Haematology Registrar and junior medical staff.
• Contributes to quality improvement and accreditation activities.
• Liaises with Oncology and regional service development teams.
