Job summary

Australian Football League (AFL) is seeking a Game Development Officer to connect children, families and communities across Regional South NSW and the ACT with Australia’s game. You will bring football to life through school programs, club activities and community events, creating positive experiences that build confidence and keep kids active.

Qualifications

Experience working with children and young people.
Strong verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A current driver’s licence and access to reliable transport.
A valid Working with Children Check or ACT WWVP clearance, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Delivering the Game: Run fun, skills-based sessions in schools and clubs.
Running Participation Programs: Deliver Auskick and Superkick programs for kids.
Supporting Community Events and Game Days: umpiring, scoring, ground management and game-day support.
Championing Inclusion: Support programs for multicultural communities and Indigenous participants.
Building Local Connections: Develop relationships with schools, clubs and families.
Growing the Game: Promote AFL to kids and make the sport accessible.
Getting Involved in More Fun: Assist with other activations and activities across the region.
