Job summary

Join Bunnings as Regional Technical Manager - Frame & Truss to lead design and estimating teams, drive innovations, and deliver high-quality building solutions for our trade customers. You’ll influence how technical services are delivered at scale, partnering with sales, manufacturing, procurement and customer-facing teams.

You’ll guide a geographically diverse team, foster a safety-focused culture and continuously improve processes to meet customer deadlines and improve margins.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within the building, construction, frame and truss, or related industry.
• Strong understanding of Frame & Truss design, estimating and compliance requirements.
• Experience interpreting residential and commercial construction plans.
• Proven leadership experience developing and managing technical, estimating or design teams.
• Strong knowledge of estimating methodologies, costing and commercial performance drivers.
• Experience working with Frame & Truss design and estimating software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical design and estimating teams to deliver outstanding customer and commercial outcomes.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality and service delivery.
• Building capability through coaching, mentoring and development of technical and estimating professionals.
• Partnering with manufacturing, sales and customer engagement teams to improve the customer experience from quote through to delivery.
• Supporting innovation in Frame & Truss products, systems and processes.
• Overseeing workflow planning and resource management to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Influencing business performance through value engineering, cost optimisation and margin-focused estimating practices.
• Strengthening relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and key industry stakeholders.
• Using data, reporting and performance insights to identify opportunities and drive operational excellence.
• Playing a key role in shaping a collaborative, safety-focused and customer-centric team culture.
