Job summary

Workskil Australia invites a senior leader to head the Geraldton region, ensuring high‑level service delivery under the Workforce Australia contract. The role requires travel across the region, driving a diverse team to perform to standard while maintaining budgets and reports.

You will lead strategic partnerships with employers and stakeholders, champion inclusion, and build a culture of high performance with strong communication and development of staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Employment Services management.
• Experience leading mentoring and coaching a geographically dispersed team.
• Proven ability to establish strategic partnerships with stakeholders and employers.
• Strong communication, leadership and development skills.
• Think strategically and develop operational plans.
• Knowledge of the local labour market.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Geraldton region to meet service delivery and compliance targets under the Workforce Australia contract.
• Travel across the Geraldton region; valid driver’s license required.
• Develop and implement regional operational plans and strategies.
• Monitor budgets and review performance reports for management.
• Foster a customer-centric team culture and high-performing teams across regions.

You will be responsible for leading the Geraldton region to ensure the region continues to meet their high-level service delivery and compliance across the Workforce Australia contract.

This role is being offered on a full-time and ongoing basis. The role will work across the Geraldton region and a willingness to travel across the region will be essential, therefore a valid drivers will also be required

You’ll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9 day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. You will still receive the remuneration of a full time employee in addition to the ability to salary sacrifice. About You

To be successful in the role you will be able to:

• Demonstrate a minimum 5 years of experience in Employment Services management;
• Demonstrate experience in leading mentoring and coaching a geographically dispersed team to achieve high levels of work performance and compliance;
• Prove your ability to lead and develop a customer centric team with a focus on strong and effective communication, leadership and development;
• Prove your ability to establish strategic partnerships and achieve common desired outcomes with relevant stakeholders, organisations and employers;
• Demonstrate your ability to think strategically and develop and implement operational plans;
• Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of the local labour market;
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of working to budgets and understanding of performance reports;
• Ensure administration requirements and reports are accurate and up to date and provide reports and other information to management as required;
• Demonstrate your ability to work with culturally or linguistically diverse people, Indigenous customers, ex-offenders, youth and other disadvantaged groups.

You will also be required to:

• Hold a current driver's licence;
• Have a minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development; and
• Intermediate administration skills including a minimum typing speed of 30 wpm.

As a key member of the Senior Management team you will participate in operational & organisational planning; and the development & implementation of strategies and initiatives.

Remuneration

A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
