Regional Employment Coach - Wivenhoe Region

Family Services Australia (FSA) is seeking a motivated and energetic Regional Employment Coach (REC) to facilitate and encourage Workforce Australia participants to develop and enhance their independence, employment, social and life skills. The position will be supporting the region, based from Redbank Plains.

Working within FSA’s Integrated Employment Service Model framework, the REC will assist Employment Coaches and participants across multiple locations, filling in at sites on an as need basis due to planned and unplanned staffing vacancies. Our sites in the Wivenhoe region include Redbank Plains, Springfield, Lowood, Fernvale, Toogoolawah and Goodna.

The REC will assist with the continued growth of FSA site/s, which are shared with FSA Disability Employment Services at a number of sites and works with the FSA Health and Wellbeing Service Stream to build participant capacity.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated Values-Based employment history and approach showing Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Empowerment (CARE) with Integrity and Positivity;
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in employment services;
  • An understanding of the issues/challenges facing participants and employers;
  • Knowledge of local community agencies and the ability to identify and coordinate a range of appropriate services for participants;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated exposure to challenging conversations with participants, stakeholders and employers;
  • Ability to demonstrate self-reflection, resilience, and accountability within a dynamic case management role; and
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management ability with a strong resilience, self-reflection and calmness when working in a dynamic target driven environment.
