Job summary

Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions VIC – Warrnambool VIC is seeking a Regional Development Officer on a fixed-term, part-time basis (0.5 FTE) to promote and deliver economic development initiatives across the Barwon South West region.

You will support place-based solutions, manage grant applications and projects, and provide research and analysis. The role requires strong communication, project support experience and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management, business development or account management.
• Ability to develop project plans and support project teams.
• Experience in managing emerging issues and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with government, community and industry partners.
• Support investment attraction and economic development initiatives.
• Advise on development initiatives for communities and businesses in the region.
• Monitor grants and milestones and prepare briefings and reports.
• Conduct routine research and analysis to support the RDV Regional team.
