We are now seeking an exceptional leader to build and lead the next phase of Equilibrium’s Australian growth. Candidates will be considered within the rock mechanics, mine waste, structural geology, hydrogeology, or surface water discipline areas. This is not a role focused on maintaining an established operation — it is an opportunity to create, influence and shape the future of a specialist consultancy in one of the world’s most important mining markets.

The Opportunity:

As Regional Director, Australia , you will be a key member of the global leadership team, responsible for establishing Equilibrium as a recognised specialist consultancy in the Australian mining market.

This role combines business leadership, strategic growth, client development, technical leadership and team building. You will have the autonomy and support to develop opportunities, strengthen relationships and build the capability required for long-term success.

Lead and Grow the Australian Business

• Lead Equilibrium’s Australian growth strategy, market expansion and positioning.
• Partner with global leadership to align strategy, resources and opportunities.
• Oversee Australian operations and capability to support sustainable growth.

Build Client Relationships and Market Presence

• Build trusted relationships with mining leaders and key industry stakeholders across Australia.
• Lead strategic pursuits, client engagement, proposals and commercial opportunities.
• Represent Equilibrium across the mining, engineering and professional communities.
• Identify opportunities where Equilibrium’s specialist capability can create value.

Provide Technical Leadership

• Maintain technical involvement across complex projects.
