Job summary

SA Dental - Statewide Clinical Support Service is offering a 12-month Dental Assistant Trainee program starting January 2027 in regional clinics across South Australia. The traineeship combines on-the-job training with study towards Certificate III in Dental Assisting through TAFE SA (fees payable by the trainee).

You'll gain hands-on chair-side support, infection control skills, and exposure to a public healthcare environment while supporting dental professionals and helping improve oral health

Qualifications

• 17 years and above
• Completed Year 11 as a minimum
• Must be a resident of South Australia

Responsibilities

• Support patients and dental professionals in clinic settings
• Assist chair-side and infection control tasks
• Participate in a 12-month traineeship with on-the-job training
• Complete study towards Certificate III in Dental Assisting through TAFE SA
