Job summary

SA Dental is offering a Dental Assistant Trainee position across regional clinics. This 12-month traineeship starts January 2027 and combines on-the-job training with study towards a Certificate III in Dental Assisting through TAFE SA (fees payable by the trainee).

Throughout the program you will gain hands-on experience from chair-side support to infection control while contributing to improved patient care in South Australia’s communities. This role supports SA Health’s statewide services.

Qualifications

• Individuals 17 years and above
• Completed Year 11 as a minimum
• Must be a resident of South Australia

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training while assisting dental professionals.
• Develop chair-side support and infection control skills during the traineeship.
