Job summary

The Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet is seeking a senior adviser for the Big Rivers Region (Katherine). You will provide strategic advice and support to the Regional Director and Regional Executive Director on priority policy implementation and regional programs.

You will help develop initiatives and coordinate with colleagues across regions and policy teams to deliver high-quality advice to the CEO, Ministers and Cabinet on regional issues including Aboriginal Affairs.

Job description

Primary Objective:

As part of a small, agile Big Rivers CM&C team, you will provide strategic advice and support to the Regional Director and Regional Executive Director. In this role, you will contribute to the regional implementation of the NT Government's priorities of Rebuilding the Economy, Reducing Crime and Restoring the Territory Lifestyle. You will support and drive the development of initiatives, strategies and projects that contribute to regional development, working closely with your colleagues in other regions, and policy teams across the division and agencies. You will also prepare high-quality advice to the CEO, Ministers and Cabinet regarding regional issues and priorities, including Aboriginal Affairs.
