Job summary

People First Bank is seeking a talented Business Development Specialist to drive growth across Brisbane, Toowoomba and the Gold Coast. Based in Brisbane, you will build strong relationships with referral partners, local businesses and community groups to generate new opportunities and strengthen the brand.

You will collaborate with Branch Managers, Home Lenders and leadership teams to support regional growth, deliver customer-focused initiatives and spread awareness of the People First Bank

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, relationship management or sales within banking or financial services.
• Ability to build networks with referral partners, local businesses and community groups.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Strong commercial acumen with a proactive, results-focused approach.
• Ability to travel regularly across Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and convert new regional business opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with referral partners and community networks.
• Increase brand awareness through community engagement and partnerships.
• Coordinate attendance at local events, sponsorship activations and forums.
• Support regional growth initiatives with branch managers and lenders.
• Mentor and coach staff to enhance business development capabilities.
