People First Bank is seeking a seasoned Business Development Specialist to drive growth across Brisbane, Toowoomba and the Gold Coast. You’ll build and nurture relationships with referral partners, local businesses and community groups to generate opportunities and boost brand presence.

You’ll work with Branch Managers, Home Lenders and regional leaders to execute growth initiatives, coach staff, and share market insights. A people-first, community-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in business development, relationship management or sales in banking.
• Strong networks across business and community groups with influence.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proactive, results-driven with sound commercial judgment.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and convert new opportunities across the region.
• Establish and maintain relationships with referral partners and local businesses.
• Increase brand awareness through community engagement and events.
• Coordinate and attend community events, sponsorships and forums.
• Collaborate with Branch Managers and Home Lenders to support regional growth.
• Mentor and coach retail staff on business development.
• Provide insights on market opportunities and trends.
• Travel across Brisbane, Toowoomba and the Gold Coast to support activities.
