Job summary

Boutique Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician – Tradesman to join our growing, family-run team based in Carrum Downs. The role covers servicing, fault finding, repairs and installations across residential and light commercial HVAC, with a focus on quality workmanship and customer service.

This full-time opportunity requires 8+ years' industry experience, strong fault finding and diagnostics skills, and the ability to manage jobs from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician / Refrigeration Mechanic.
• Minimum 8 years' industry experience.
• Strong experience in residential and/or light commercial HVAC.
• Confident with fault finding, diagnostics, servicing and repairs.
• Current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, fault finding, repairs and installations of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Work across residential and light commercial properties throughout Melbourne's South East and surrounding areas.
• Diagnose faults and provide professional recommendations to customers.
• Complete service reports, job notes and documentation accurately.
• Liaise professionally with customers, builders, property managers and the office team.
• Work independently while also supporting the wider field team when required.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship, presentation and customer service.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, regulations and manufacturer requirements.

About the Role

Boutique Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician – Tradesman to join our growing team based in Carrum Downs.

This is a full-time position suited to an experienced technician who is confident working independently across residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, communicates well with customers and the office, and wants to become a valued long-term member of our team.

Full-time position, Monday to Friday.

Minimum 8 years industry experience.

Carry out servicing, fault finding, repairs and installations of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

Work across residential and light commercial properties throughout Melbourne's South East and surrounding areas.

Diagnose faults and provide professional recommendations to customers.

Complete service reports, job notes and documentation accurately.

Liaise professionally with customers, builders, property managers and the office team.

What We Are Looking For

Fully qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician / Refrigeration Mechanic.

Minimum 8 years' industry experience.

Strong experience in residential and/or light commercial HVAC.

Confident with fault finding, diagnostics, servicing and repairs.

Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, electrical controls and air conditioning equipment.

Current driver's licence.

Good communication and customer service skills.

High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Ability to work independently and manage jobs from start to finish.

Reliable, punctual and professional presentation.

Ability to complete job documentation and communicate clearly with the office.

A strong focus on safety and compliance.

Experience with Mitsubishi Electric, Actron Air, Rinnai, or similar equipment.

Experience with ducted, split system and commercial HVAC equipment.

Experience with Job Management Systems such as ServiceM8.

Previous experience working directly with builders, property managers or commercial clients.
