Job summary

Bells Pure Ice is seeking a Refrigeration mechanic to join our Melbourne area team. You will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance of our freezers at the Tullamarine site and at customer locations, contributing to our busy operation during peak seasons.

The role offers a 38-hour week with overtime. The successful candidate will repair and maintain freezers, travel to customer sites as needed, and work under supervision of the State Operations Manager while upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

• An air conditioning / refrigeration mechanics licence required.
• 2+ years' experience in A/C fridge mechanic roles.
• Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
• Strong WHS knowledge and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general maintenance of all freezers onsite and at customers' premises.
• Managing and executing all works provided by State Operations Manager.
• Ensuring completion of works within the timelines provided.
• Overseeing the cleanliness of the work area and maintaining a safe workstation.
• Maintaining a spare parts register and communicating needs to the service coordinator.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Refrigeration mechanic to join our team with an excellent culture. You will be part of a small team repairing and maintaining our freezers based out of our Tullamarine site that will play a key role in the amazing journey that we are on.

This position offers a 38-hour week with overtime available.

Based at our Tullamarine site and reporting into our State Operations Manager, therole will beresponsible for day-to-day operational maintenance of our freezers.

You will attend to repairs both on site and at our customer sites.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Carrying out general maintenance of all freezers onsite and at customers premises
• Managing and executing all works provided by State Operations Manager
• Ensuring the completion of works are within the timelines provided
• Overseeing the cleanliness of work area and taking pride in safe and clean workstation
• Maintaining a spare parts register and communicating with service coordinator if anything is required

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are seeking a practical operator with a keen eye for process improvement and demonstrated initiative.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:

• An air conditioning / refrigeration mechanics licence, and at least 2 years' experience in A/C Fridge mechanic roles
• Hardworking nature with a natural can-do attitude and initiative
• Immaculate personal presentation
• Ability to prioritise and multitask
• An outgoing and confident personality
• Knowledge of WHS requirements
• Good written and verbal communication
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Have a pro-active approach to all work tasks
• Be reliable and trustworthy
