Job summary

Woolworths Group is seeking an Installation Technician to install refrigeration equipment across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and regional Queensland. The role involves planning, scheduling and coordinating projects with site teams and a project manager to ensure quality installations.

The successful candidate will bring trade qualifications in refrigeration, refrigeration licences, electrical and gas licences, and a willingness to travel with nights as required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Refrigeration is required.
• QBCC Mechanical Services Licence (Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) is required.
• Arctick Refrigerant Handling Licence is required.
• Energy Safe restricted electrical worker’s licence is required.
• Gas Work (Hydrocarbon) Licence is required.
• A valid Driver’s Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Install refrigeration equipment to high standards in new and renewal sites.
• Perform troubleshooting and identify equipment issues.
• Plan, coordinate and complete projects with site teams and project managers.
• Assist in scheduling labour resources and material orders.
• Liaise with the technical team and engineers; support capital works prioritisation.

What you’ll do

As an Installation Technician, you will ensure that equipment is installed to the highest of standards to ensure that our stores are able to provide a great service to our customers

Installing Refrigeration equipment into new and renewal sites, perform troubleshooting, identifying issues with equipment

Planning, coordinating and completing projects in conjunction with your site team and project manager

Assist your project manager in the scheduling and planning of labour resources and the ordering of materials

Liaising with our technical team on the status of tasks working closely with construction teams including informing engineers, planning for replacements, and assisting in prioritising capital works

What you’ll bring

Trade Qualification in Refrigeration, QBCC Occupational Mechanical Services License - (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration), Arctick Refrigerant Handling Licence, Energy safe restricted electrical worker’s License, Gas Work (Hydrocarbon) Licence and Driver’s Licence required

Post-apprenticeship experience (supermarket experience preferred)

Leading hand / Job running experience in commercial refrigeration is highly desirable

Experience within the commercial refrigeration service and installation industry, with commercial supermarket experience preferred.

A solid understanding of supermarket rack systems, including TC02 technology and confidence in new refrigeration/air conditioning control technologies

Emerson / Site supervisor controls experience advantageous

Flexibility to travel (including short stays) to various sites throughout Brisbane and Regional QLD and work nights as required
