Woolworths Group is seeking an Installation Technician to install refrigeration equipment across Brisbane and Regional QLD, ensuring high-quality workmanship and collaboration with site teams.

The role requires trade qualifications in refrigeration, related licences, and willingness to travel and work nights as needed. Prior supermarket refrigeration experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Trade Qualification in Refrigeration and related licences.
• Post-apprenticeship supermarket experience preferred.
• Experience leading job runs in commercial refrigeration is desirable.
• Solid understanding of supermarket rack systems and new refrigeration/AC controls.

Responsabilités

• Install refrigeration equipment at new and renewal sites to high standards.
• Troubleshoot and identify issues with equipment.
• Plan, coordinate and complete projects with site teams and managers.
• Assist in scheduling labour and ordering materials.
• Liaise with technical teams and construction teams to prioritise capital works.

What you’ll do

As an Installation Technician, you will ensure that equipment is installed to the highest of standards to ensure that our stores are able to provide a great service to our customers

Installing Refrigeration equipment into new and renewal sites, perform troubleshooting, identifying issues with equipment

Planning, coordinating and completing projects in conjunction with your site team and project manager

Assist your project manager in the scheduling and planning of labour resources and the ordering of materials

Liaising with our technical team on the status of tasks working closely with construction teams including informing engineers, planning for replacements, and assisting in prioritising capital works

What you’ll bring

Trade Qualification in Refrigeration, QBCC Occupational Mechanical Services License - (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration), Arctick Refrigerant Handling Licence, Energy safe restricted electrical worker’s License, Gas Work (Hydrocarbon) Licence and Driver’s Licence required

Post-apprenticeship experience (supermarket experience preferred)

Leading hand / Job running experience in commercial refrigeration is highly desirable

Experience within the commercial refrigeration service and installation industry, with commercial supermarket experience preferred.

A solid understanding of supermarket rack systems, including TC02 technology and confidence in new refrigeration/air conditioning control technologies

Emerson / Site supervisor controls experience advantageous

Flexibility to travel (including short stays) to various sites throughout Brisbane and Regional QLD and work nights as required
