Total Ventilation and Hygiene Services is expanding its Melbourne team with a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician. This permanent full-time role focuses on servicing commercial and industrial sites across metropolitan Melbourne, delivering reliable cooling, complex fault-finding, and scheduled maintenance.

You’ll work on split/ducted systems, VRV/VRF, commercial refrigeration, and controls. The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and career progression within TVH’s growing network.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or equivalent.
• Victorian Restricted Electrical Licence or eligibility to obtain one.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own jobs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional approach to safety and quality.
• EWP, Working at Heights or Confined Space tickets.
• Mechanical services plumbing registration or licence.
• Commercial refrigeration, cool room or process cooling experience.
• Experience on healthcare, government, data centre or large commercial sites.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, diagnosing and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC/R equipment.
• Completing planned preventative maintenance across a portfolio of client sites.
• Fault-finding mechanical, electrical and controls issues.
• Installing, commissioning and decommissioning equipment.
• Responding to breakdowns and getting critical cooling back online.
• Completing digital service reports, photos and asset records.
• Working with dispatch to plan your day and keep jobs moving.

You’ll service commercial and industrial sites across metropolitan Melbourne / the south-east, working on:

Split and ducted systems

VRV / VRF

Commercial refrigeration, cool rooms and freezer rooms

Mechanical plant

Controls and BMS

What you’ll be doing
