Job summary

Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager, driving innovation and ensuring effective execution within transportation networks. You will inspire a team to meet performance goals and productivity standards, monitor attendance and workflow, and address issues with the Shift and Delivery Station Managers.

The role requires leading by example in a 24/7 environment, with shift changes possible based on business

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Contribute to fostering a strong health and safety culture by ensuring adherence to laws and internal policies.
• Assist in daily oversight and management of departmental tasks.
• Conduct staff debriefs and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Perform duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Allocate tasks to staff to maintain workflow and meet daily targets.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels, manage call outs for training and absences, oversee performance and coaching.
• Support onboarding and training of new associates to ensure task proficiency.
• Collaborate in tracking, analyzing, and reporting Exchange Point metrics.
• Identify factors contributing to meeting or missing Exchange Point objectives.
• Monitor and report on associate hours and schedules.
• Address and resolve process-related issues.
• Ensure timely reporting of equipment defects.

Operations Supervisor , Amazon Logistics (Wed-Sat)

Description
Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in driving innovation and ensuring effective execution within transportation networks. This role requires a proactive leader capable of inspiring a team to achieve performance goals and productivity standards that align with company objectives. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for monitoring team attendance and workflow, working closely with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager to identify and resolve any issues that may arise. The work schedule is the back end RTS shift, from Wednesday to Saturday 16:00 - 22:30.
Amazon Operations and Distribution is a 24/7 environment and shifts may change due to business needs.

• Contribute to fostering a strong health and safety culture by ensuring adherence to relevant laws and internal policies
• Assist in the daily oversight and management of departmental tasks
• Conduct staff debriefs, ensuring all paperwork is accurately and thoroughly completed

• Ensure adequate staffing levels for your area, including managing call outs for training, addressing absences, overseeing performance, providing coaching, and continually monitoring department productivity
• Support the onboarding and training of new associates to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge to perform required tasks
• Collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in tracking, analyzing, and reporting Exchange Point metrics
• Support the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in identifying and understanding factors contributing to the achievement or shortfall of Exchange Point objectives
• Monitor and report on associate hours and schedules
• Address and resolve process-related issues within the area as needed
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of equipment defects

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations
• Experience in logistics
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• This role is for Back End Return to Station Shift between 16:00 - 22:00

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing teams
• Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement
