Job summary

WorkPac Group is assisting a leading industrial client in Townsville to recruit safety‑minded operators for fixed plant duties within a refinery setting. This hands‑on role involves operating fixed plant equipment, local labouring tasks, and joining a safety‑driven team across day and night rosters.

Ideal candidates hold forklift, gantry crane, and elevated work platform competencies, with trade qualifications advantageous.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport to site.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical, including urine drug and alcohol screen.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work a rotating day and night shift roster.
• Forklift licence, Gantry crane licence, Elevated Work Platform licence highly desirable.
• Ability to work in hot conditions.
• Trade qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate fixed plant equipment in a safe manner.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery (Gantry Crane & EWP where licenced).
• Perform general labouring duties throughout the refinery.
• Work within a safety-focused team to meet production requirements.
