Job summary

Far West Local Health District in Broken Hill is seeking a Health Manager Level 1 to coordinate resources and documentation for two major redevelopment projects within the district. This role supports stakeholders with timely information and ensures milestones are met across the programs.

The position is temporary full time until 30 June 2027, with competitive remuneration and benefits designed for country living, learning and development opportunities, and flexible arrangements as required.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Project Management, Change Management or Business Administration.
• Ability to author reports, plans and meeting papers to a high standard.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with active listening.
• Capacity to plan, prioritise workload and coordinate project tasks.
• Autonomous work style and effective team collaboration.
• Current driver’s license and willingness to travel across sites, including overnight stays.

What You'll Be Doing

Coordinate resources and project documentation to assist in the successful completion of two redevelopment projects simultaneously in the Far West Local Health District.

• Apply a coordinated and collaborative approach to project milestones and deliverables across two large scale redevelopment projects.
• Support key stakeholders with effective decision-making by providing timely and accurate information.
• Occasion travel within the District including some overnight requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Qualification/s in Project Management, Change Management or Business Administration AND/OR experience in Project Management, Change Management or Business Administration fields.
• Ability to author documentation such as reports, plans, meeting papers at a high standard.
• High level communication and interpersonal skills with ability to actively listen and act on subsequent information.
• Capacity to plan and prioritise workload with the ability to apply a coordinated approach to your individual workload and the broader project team workload (i.e. understand and plan the tasks associated with a project milestone).
• Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to respond appropriately to changing circumstances where necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a team member.
• Current driver's license and willingness to travel between sites and facilities across a large geographic area, which may include overnight stays.
