Job summary

Cleanaway in Rooty Hill NSW is hiring Sorters to help process materials on site. This hands-on, on-site role is suited to dependable people who can work in a fast-paced industrial environment, with flexible morning and night shifts and 3–4 hour blocks.

You will sort recyclable materials safely on a conveyor, remove contaminants with PPE, and collaborate with a team to keep the plant running efficiently. This casual position offers training, progression potential, and a stable path in a company

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced, physically demanding environments.
• Strong record of reliability, punctuality and attendance.
• Willingness to learn new equipment, processes and safety requirements.
• Proactive attitude and commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely sort and separate recyclable materials on a fast-moving conveyor.
• Remove contaminants by hand while wearing PPE.
• Work at heights from an elevated platform.
• Remain on your feet with scheduled breaks.
• Collaborate with the team to keep plant and processing line running.
• Follow site safety procedures and operational instructions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace.
• Identify and report hazards and operational issues.
