Job summary

Wellways Australia, a NSW-based provider, is seeking a Recovery Worker to join the Community Living Support team in Wollongong. You will support adults experiencing mental health challenges to build skills, confidence and independence through practical, person-led assistance.

Working within an integrated team, you will develop recovery plans, maintain records and collaborate with families, communities and partner services to deliver coordinated, compassionate care across the region.

Qualifications

• Completion or enrolment in suitable Certificate 4 qualifications in mental health or community services.
• 100 points of identification provided.
• Right to work in Australia and a valid NSW Driver's Licence.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card/WCC where required.
• National Police Check and Working with Children Check as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support participants to develop recovery goals and aspirations.
• Provide practical, strengths-based support to promote independence and wellbeing.
• Foster connections with families and communities.
• Complete recovery plans, assessments, file notes and program documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders for coordinated support.
• Travel across the region to meet participant needs.
