Job summary

A busy GP practice in Northamptonshire seeks a Receptionist/Administrator to join their team for 20-30 hours per week. Responsibilities include answering phones, document management, and assisting in patient registrations. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and a customer service background. Flexibility is essential during opening hours. Experience with Systm1 is preferred, but applicants meeting essential criteria will be considered.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a healthcare or GP Surgery setting preferred.
  • Good IT skills with a willingness to learn other software packages.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the reception/admin team with front desk cover and answering telephone.
  • Perform scanning, clinical coding, and document management.
  • Register new patients and manage emails.

Job description

We are a busy 11,000 patient GP practice in Northamptonshire looking for an Receptionist/Administrator for over 20-30 hours per week to join our friendly team.

Opening hours 8.00am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday.

We would be looking for someone who can provide flexible cover during opening times.

Main duties of the job

The role will be split between administration duties and carrying out reception tasks including

  • Assisting the reception/admin team with front desk cover answering telephone
  • Scanning and Clinical coding and document management
  • Registrations of new patients
  • Responding to emails
  • Processing repeat prescription requests

We are a medium sized village GP Practice in Bugbrooke Village. We are made up of :

  • 4 GP Partners
  • 2 Practice Nurses
  • 3 HCA's
  • Admin and reception staff
  • Practice Manager
  • Patient service manager
Job responsibilities

The successful candidate will have :

  • Confident Telephone manner
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Extensive customer service experience
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to learn

General Practice experience and knowledge of Systm1 clinical system is preferred but all candidates meeting the essential criteria above will be considered.
