Job summary

Aerotek in Redmond, WA is seeking a Receiving Inspector to verify incoming raw materials, parts, and components against drawings, PO's, and quality standards before entry into production. You will perform visual and dimensional checks, use precision tools, review supplier quality records, report non-conformances, and log results in our enterprise systems.

This is a contract, on-site role with daytime hours (5:30am–2pm) and benefits including 401(k) with match, free parking, and carpool

Qualifications

• Visual and dimensional checks on incoming parts, assemblies and components.
• Verify supplier records including COC, COA, and FAI.
• Identify defects, NCRs, and quarantine/return processes.
• Log inspection results and traceability data in ERP/ECM systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming shipments to verify conformance to drawings and purchase orders.
• Perform precision measurements with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, pin gauges and optical comparators.
• Review and verify Certificates of Conformance (COC), Certificates of Analysis (COA) and First Article Inspections.
• Identify defects, document non-conformances, and assist with quarantine or returns.
• Enter results and disposition codes (pass/fail) into enterprise systems.

Job Title: Receiving Inspector

Job Description

The receiving inspector checks incoming shipments of raw materials, parts, and components to verify that they match engineering drawings, purchase orders, and quality standards before they enter production

• Inspection & Testing: Perform visual and dimensional checks on incoming parts, mechanical assemblies, and electronic components.

• Precision Measurement: Use precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, and optical comparators.

• Documentation Review: Verify supplier quality records, including Certificates of Conformance (COC), Certificates of Analysis (COA), and First Article Inspection Reports

• Discrepancy Reporting: Identify defects, damage, or out-of-tolerance parts, issue non-conformance reports (NCR), and assist with quarantine or return processes.

• System Data Entry: Log inspection results, status dispositions (pass/fail), and traceability data into enterprise systems

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
